I have 2 cats. One female, and one male.
The female was in the household first and the male was adopted from the wild right out of one of my colonies.
They are both 2 years old.
I have 2 litter boxes in different rooms and are plenty big to fit the cats.
The female has a tendency to poop right outside the front of the litter box frequently. She only does this with just the one litter box and not the other.
The litter box is cleaned twice a day.
My question is:
Is it a dominance type of thing? She doesnt have any health problems that are visible.
Ive tried different litters, steam cleaning the area, and using pet odor removers.
Althought I expect some cat weird behavior, this one is kind of gross and stinks.
Any help is appreciated in resolving this behavior.
